We’re living in a time when the pace of life accelerates more each day. More individuals and companies are choosing to slow down, take a break, and step out of their usual environment. Not just to rest or disconnect, but to reconnect—with their values, their purpose, with aligned people or teams… and with nature and their roots.
At ecoRETREAT, we share a common vision with Chalam Experience: to create spaces where nature, silence, and simplicity have a place. That’s why today we open this new space for dialogue and joint exploration to understand:
👉 Why are so many companies and entrepreneurs choosing conscious experiences that allow them to step out of routine and connect—with nature and with others in a meaningful way?
👉 What’s behind this growing search for connection, spirituality, and community?
👉 What does this shift truly mean?
🎤 We spoke with Jesica, founder of Chalam Experience, who supports professionals in designing strategic, intentional, and creative retreats and experiences. She is a Tourism graduate and Sports Coach with over nine years of experience leading trips worldwide—as an agent, teacher, group coordinator, and sports team leader.
— What are professionals looking for when they come to Chalam Experience?
JESI: —Over the past few years, brands have felt a growing need to connect with their audience in a more authentic and emotional way. While digital channels remain important, they’re no longer enough. There’s a real desire to return to what’s human and feel close.
In that sense, conscious retreats and experiences are becoming powerful tools. They offer spaces where brands can connect with their community from a different place—not just as providers, but as creators of meaningful bonds and transformation.
CANDE: —Exactly. It’s not just about “going on a trip,” but about living an experience that creates space for something new: an idea, an emotion, a different direction. Sometimes the most productive thing is to stop.
— Why is so many people focusing their life, sales, or business strategies around this type of travel?
JESI: —Selling today is not just about offering a product. It’s about creating a real connection. Conscious experiences offer the perfect setting for that. These are spaces where people feel heard, inspired, and where genuine trust is built.
Sales stop feeling forced and become a natural result of real connection. Brands that understand this are transforming the way they relate to their audience.
CANDE: —Absolutely. Many individuals and organizations are seeking transformational experiences that integrate purpose, wellbeing, and human connection.
There’s a growing interest in offerings that blend nature, introspection, and community because they respond to a real need for personal and social reconnection in a world that’s increasingly fast-paced and overstimulated.
These experiences allow people to slow down, reconnect with their physical and emotional wellbeing, and share from a place of authenticity. Plus, it’s proven that time in nature reduces stress and fosters empathy, a sense of belonging, and collaboration.
— What happens when a brand dares to offer something different, like a circle, a silent walk, or a meditation?
JESI: —Everything changes. When a brand dares to offer something that touches the emotional or spiritual realm, it steps away from the traditional idea of “selling” and becomes a space for connection. That creates deeper, more meaningful relationships, where trust grows and the brand’s purpose becomes tangible. It stops being “just a brand” and becomes part of a transformative experience.
— What impact do these experiences have on participants afterward?
JESI: —The change in the relationship is immediate. These experiences leave lasting, transformative memories, and participants often associate that change with the brand or professional who guided them. They invite us to unplug from virtual noise and reconnect with what truly matters—and that leaves a real mark.
CANDE: —Today, we’re dealing with information overload, mental noise, accumulated stress… It’s just too much. And nature offers a wise and simple response: it allows us to return to ourselves and free the mind.
— Are these kinds of experiences are here to stay or are they just a trend?
JESI: —From my perspective, this has been building since the pandemic and it’s here to stay. The slow travel trend is growing stronger, and over-commercialized destinations no longer attract those seeking deeper experiences.
The need to disconnect from routine, overstimulation, and digital life is so great that experiential and conscious travel is gaining strength like never before.
CANDE: —I completely agree. The more we’re digitally connected and productivity-driven, the more we’ll value traveling mindfully, learning to slow down, and connect genuinely with others and with the natural world.
